ACE Survey at recnok.com: Updated Results

Adverse Childhood Experiences ACE Survey

Thanks to everyone who has responded to our Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Survey so far at recnok.com – If you haven’t taken the ACE Survey yet, you still have time by following this link. It’s a very short survey (less than 5 minutes) based on comprehensive study conducted by Kaiser Permanente and the Centers for Disease Control. If you not familiar with the original study, please read the blog post: Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE): Information Counselors Must Know.

We have had 77 responses to the survey so far. I’m going to keep the survey open for a while to see if I can generate more responses. As before, the respondents are mostly female, well-educated and work in social services. That’s not surprising and is pretty representative of the readers of this blog. Also not surprising is the high ACE score of most respondents. Compared the original Kaiser study, our readers have considerably higher ACE scores.

Early statistical analysis shows no significant difference among ACE scores based on career choice. I assumed that those working in social services would have a higher average score but possibly due to the selection bias of those responding, there doesn’t seem to be any difference. Again, I hope to generate more responses before closing the survey so please send the link to anyone who might be interested. Thanks to all who have participated.
